Take the Blinders Off

I just read this again (as I do so many posts from this blog). To be aware of each moment of your life must not be easy because many moments are filled with painful awareness. But the sentence " A life time of dimmed awareness is'nt worth avoiding a few moments of discomfort" is so true and so meaningful (as is most of, ooops sorry...all of the stuff Craig writes). This is one of the best posts in the blog. I think we all have many blind spots. Thats why we watch so much TV for e.g. I think when we are engrossed in one of our favourite programmes the thought guiltily and fleetingly crosses our mind that we should not waste so much time, but we push it away quickly and and before you know it a couple of hours are gone and its time for bed and then we can hurry into the next day. With a feeling of relief that another day in our tough lives is over. We are not aware that we have not lived it fully but that does'nt matter right? Not in the grander scheme of things, in this case a long lifetime where a couple of hours of TV cant possibly make a differance. Except they do. I think it takes courage to live every moment of your life alive and in my case I am still finding mine.
