I started attending Barefoot Fitness in the spring of 2023. After having incurred a stroke, as well as a wrist and pelvic fracture, my goal was to increase my core strength and balance. Since attending Barefoot Fitness, my core strength has greatly improved, as has my balance, for which I am very grateful. My lean muscle mass has also increased over the last several months.
Janaye puts much thought into each workout and how it might benefit us. I so appreciate her and the other instructors’ concern for us performing the exercises safely and using proper body mechanics. I appreciate the input and correction from the instructors as is needed.
It is fun to go to the gym each day to see what exciting workout we get to work on and accomplish. If for some reason I am unable to do a particular exercise, the instructor always offers a modification that will work, which I appreciate. In the last couple months I believe the workouts have been built to be more challenging . . . which is good.
I also appreciate the friendships I have made at Barefoot, and the encouragement and support by the attendees and instructors. Barefoot Fitness has been a very healthy life-changing activity for me. I am grateful to my daughter, Kim, for encouraging me to try it. It has been a great fit for me!
