I’ve made a couple of appreciation posts on instagram I think but when I came across my ‘before’ picture, it really stopped me in my tracks. I took the first picture in 2020 a handful of months before moving to Spearfish. The physical change is the standout part but what I see is how sad I looked. I was miserable and drinking a bunch and eating a bunch of garbage to feel literally anything.
Barefoot has been a lifesaver for me, not only for my physical health but my mental health too. I quit drinking and started watching my diet. I remember the first months at the gym seeing some men and women move serious weight around and I was really inspired. Almost 3 years later and I’m starting to move some serious weight around and I’m still inspired by everyone I work out with, regardless of where you are in the fitness journey. It’s rad to be in a big room with people who show up. Thanks barefoot fitness!!!
