Besides our regular year-round workout programming, we also offer or participate in special challenges, events, and workouts throughout the year.
Annual Fat Loss Challenge
From January to March of each year many of our members engage in our Fat Loss Challenge.
The goal of this challenge is not merely losing weight or pounds, but losing fat and gaining muscle, resulting in improved body composition and better health. As an added incentive, the male and female members who lose the highest percentage of their starting fat are awarded with a free year of Barefoot Fitness membership.
Fall Reset Challenge
The Fall Reset Challenge, formerly known as the Whole Foods Challenge, is an opportunity for you to clean up your diet and work toward creating new and better habits that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
The goal of the reset is to focus on eating nutritious foods, meal planning and prepping, and consistency. We want you to get outside your comfort zone to establish or reestablish some healthier patterns.
Tactical Strength Challenge (TSC)
The annual Tactical Strength Challenge (TSC) was created in 2002 by Pavel Tsatsouline, the founder and CEO of StrongFirst. The original intention of the TSC was to help military and law enforcement personnel to better prepare for the physical demands of their duty callings.
The TSC is hosted by gyms around the world, and it consists of three exercises: barbell deadlift (max weight), strict pull-ups (max reps), and the kettlebell snatch (max reps in five minutes).
Barefoot Fitness started hosting the Tactical Strength Challenge in 2018 and our members have done consistently well over the years, and in some cases very well!
Holiday workouts
We typically have special workouts planned for holidays such as Memorial Day and Thanksgiving, and we do a “Twelve Days of Christmas” workout before taking a few days off for Christmas.
