I’m a 47 year old married guy who lives in Spearfish, and up until January of ‘24 I had been missing a regular scheduled routine of “activity” in my life that sort of went away 8 to 10 years ago when we started having kids.
I have several friends who would always talk about this “Barefoot” place, and I got curious. To tell you the truth, I thought about joining Barefoot Fitness for at least a year or two before I finally pulled the trigger.
Finally, this year I made the commitment to join and have been doing 3 workouts per week with Janaye and her trainers for almost 6 months now. I used to struggle with sciatic pain, was tired all the time, and I couldn’t keep up with my kids physically.
So the first change that I noticed in my body was after about 2 weeks of working out – the pain went away. I have tons more energy than before, and now I have no problem riding dirt bikes with our kids every evening, going camping, snowmobiling and doing whatever activities come my way.
Perhaps my favorite (and a bit unexpected) part about Barefoot Fitness is the social aspect of this place. There are NO BAD VIBES here, and the friendly climate is contagious. Even though the workouts are not easy, I really look forward to going every time because it re-charges my soul!
The routines are challenging, and if you put in the work they WILL improve your overall fitness in just about every way you can imagine. The trainers are knowledgeable, and no matter what place you are in physically – they will help you modify the exercises to suit your needs and get the most out of the session.
I simply can’t say enough good about Barefoot Fitness, and I think that anyone looking to improve or maintain their health should give it a try!
